DUNCAN — The Stephens County Senior 4-H shooting team took first place in the District 4-H Trap Shooting competition held at the Duncan Gun Club.
Kyle Tucker, Wes Jones, Timothy Davidson and Meagan Julian teamed up to win the event, which consisted of two rounds of 25 targets each from five different stations for a possible score of 50.
Tucker shot a 24 and 25 while Jones had a double 24. Davidson broke 25 and 21 clays and Jullian hit 20 and 19 targets.
The total of 49 out of 50 targets gave Tucker first place in the 16-18-year-old division. Jones took first place in the 14-15-year-old division with 48 broken clays.
The event had 114 participants from around the state. Marie Ketchum, Glenn Wheat, Mike Jones and Alan Phipps coach the Stephens County team.
