DUNCAN —
Kara Jo Knop of Guymon and Rodney Samuel Claborn of Duncan have chosen Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, as their wedding date.
A small family wedding will take place at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond. Immediately following will be a celebration of marriage at the University of Central Oklahoma NIGH University Center in Edmond.
Bride-elect is the daughter of Kent and Rita Knop of Guymon. Her grandmothers are Marge Knop of Tyrone and Jo Rorabaugh of Liberal, Kan.
Prospective groom is the son of Hershel and Karla Claborn of Duncan. His grandparents are Randall and Cleta Harris of Rush Springs and Royce and Sharyn Ivory of Lubbock, Texas.
Kara is a graduate of Guymon High School and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in dental hygiene. She is a dental hygienist in Edmond.
Rodney is a graduate of Empire High School and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University and a Doctorate of Optometry in 2011 from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah. He practices with Advance Lazer Center in Oklahoma City and Anadarko.
