Applebee's breaks ground

DUNCAN — Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar representatives and Duncan Chamber of Commerce & Industry ambassadors and members dug into the dirt today for the official groundbreaking ceremony for the future Applebee's restaurant.

It will be located on U.S. Highway 81, in front of the new Holiday Inn Express, between Pizza Hut and Urgent Med and could be open as soon as Nov. 10. The event took place at 10 a.m. and large equipment began moving dirt only minutes later.

See Tuesday's Duncan Banner for a full story.
