STILLWATER — State champions have been decided in the two largest classes of the OSSA football playoffs, with both games having been played at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

  • Fire on Elm Street Arson suspected in vacant home fires

    Editor's note: Firefighters were still on scene at the time of this story filing.

    In less than an hour, Duncan firefighters and police officers were dealing with two fires tonight. They are being treated as possible arsons because both houses were vacant.

    A rapidly developing storm system has many people on alert throughout southern Oklahoma. The storm is in direct line of Lawton and does have a “hook” on it. At this time, Duncan and Stephens County is only under a tornado watch, not a warning.

    Bond has been set at $5 million for three suspects in the robbery of three Duncan convenience stores. A third suspect had bond set at $2.5 million.
