Judge Joe Enos declared a mistrial today in jury trials for Charles Alan Dyer and Brandon Wiley Balthrop.
It was discovered that several empaneled jurors had received a jury survey from the Stephens County District Court clerk’s office. Three of those jurors had been seated on the Dyer trial.
“It may very well could have had an impact on jury selection,” Enos said in court after lunch.
