Gibbs — 50
Bob and Sandy Gibbs will be honored at a gathering of family and friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, in their home at Route 3, Box 235, Marlow, in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.
Hosts will be their sons and daughter-in-law: Scott and Mari Gibbs of Katy, Texas, and Tim Gibbs of Heber Springs, Ark. The couple has three grandchildren.
Gibbs and the former Sandy Nunley were married June 6, 1959, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Gibbs was employed by Braniff Airlines and Sandy by Hallmark Card Co. when they lived in Kansas City, Mo. In Oklahoma City, he was also employed by Braniff and then by Western Electric. She also worked for Western Electric. While living in Ada, Gibbs was employed by Southwestern Bell. Both worked as independent petroleum landmen while living in Edmond and Central High, and she also worked for Cameron University.
They are active members of Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Gibbs ran a half marathon last year and is training for another marathon. Mrs. Gibbs enjoys flower gardening.

Lifelong residents of Stephens County, Randall and Nancy Burton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner with their children and grandchildren Sept. 10 at Peyton’s Place.

Bob and Anita Bumgarner celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 15, 2011, with a private trip with their family to Arlington, Texas. Earlier in the summer they enjoyed a cruise to the Bahamas and Key West with family and friends.
