DUNCAN — Doucet — 40

Wayne and Anna Doucet of Duncan will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009.

They were married Aug. 22, 1969, in Turkey Creek, La.

Doucet was raised in Port Barre, Turkey Creek and Ville Platte, La., and graduated from Ville Platte High School in 1967. He is the son of the late Howard Doucet and the late Betty Lee.

Anna was raised in Tahlequah and Enid before moving to Duncan in 1965. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1968. She is the daughter of E.G. Marshall of California and the late Bea Lyons.

The couple met in Ville Platte in 1968. They dated for about a year before they were married. They lived in Ville Platte and Baton Rouge, La., where Doucet worked for JC Penneys. He was transferred to Greenville, Miss., in 1975. They moved to Duncan in May 1978, where he worked for McComas Trucking and Shelby Trailer. Doucet has been employed at Halliburton Special Services for 20 years. Anna Doucet has been employed at Halliburton Accounts Payable for 26 years.

They have lived in the Comanche-Duncan area for many years. They both love playing golf and spending time with their grandkids. He also loves to work and play on the farm, and she loves to shop.

They have three children: Winky Doucet of Duncan, and Benji and his wife, Krystal Doucet, and Missy and her husband, Kary Hendricks, all of Comanche. They have seven grandchildren: Kiley, Brittany, Bryton, Konner and Kooper Doucet, and Trent and Bryce Hendricks.

The Doucets are blessed to have a large family along with many good friends. They have had a great 40 years and are looking forward to many more, they said.
